Jolife… turns green and goes ORGANIC

For some time now, we have known that something in the natural balance is breaking down and that urgent action is needed. One way to help is by choosing and buying organic foods. These products are grown without pollution, fully respecting the rhythm of the seasons, practicing crop rotation, and are subject to inspection by authorized certification bodies.

In this regard, the term “traceability” of organic food refers to the ability to reconstruct and track the production and use of an agri-food product through documented and certified identifications by a dedicated control body. The hallmark of organic farming is the absence of chemical additives or pesticides and the use of natural substances. The goal of this system is to reverse the trend of intensive farming, favoring higher quality production.

Organic farming, beyond preserving natural resources, offers many benefits for our health. First of all, foods from organic agriculture are characterized by a more natural flavor and a decidedly more intense taste. Organic foods, being grown in full respect of nature’s rhythms, contain a higher concentration of nutrients. Research shows that organic products have greater amounts of vitamin C, antioxidants, minerals, calcium, iron, chromium, and magnesium. For example, an organic pear is usually smaller than a conventional one and may sometimes look less appealing. However, the flesh of an organic apple has a higher nutritional value than that of a traditional one.

The features of organic farming—eco-sustainability and health benefits—have inspired the Jolife brand to embrace this sector.
Thus, Jolife Biorganic was born: a new concept with an innovative mood. The name Jolife remains as it stands for tradition, guarantee, and experience. However, the cheerful smile of Jo (our friendly mascot) is replaced by a ladybug, a very useful little insect that plays an important role in organic farming by feeding on insects and mites that could damage crops.

Ladybugs belong to the beetle family and are also called “entomophagous insects” because they feed on other insects, including harmful pests, helping to control them. We can rightly call the ladybug a “natural insecticide,” and this is the key word for Jolife: NATURAL. Fruits that come directly from the earth and comply with its principles. When we buy a “Jolife Biorganic” product, we buy healthier, tastier fruits and vegetables rich in vital active ingredients—and not least, we contribute effectively to protecting the environment.

Let’s take care of our bodies, our land, and the future of our children. Every day.
